Street Soccer Beginning Tips

Everybody Can…

Street soccer, with its emphasis on flair, creativity, and skill over brute strength or tactical formations, offers players at all levels a fantastic opportunity to develop their game. Here are some tips for improving your street soccer skills, tailored for different skill levels:

Beginners

  1. Ball Control: Start with the basics of ball control. Practice dribbling in a small space, using both feet. The aim is to keep the ball as close to your feet as possible while navigating around imaginary or small obstacles.
  2. Juggling: Learn to juggle the ball. This doesn’t just improve your touch but also helps with your timing and coordination. Start with keeping the ball in the air using your thighs and feet.
  3. 1v1 Moves: Begin practicing simple 1v1 moves like step-overs or body feints. The key in street soccer is to be unpredictable, so mastering a couple of moves can make a big difference.
  4. Passing and Receiving: Work on your passing and receiving skills with a friend. Focus on accurate, quick passes and receiving the ball with both feet, using the inside and outside.
